Agustín Barberis worked 6 years in El Tejar in the area of Operations Planning and also in the analysis of new Business Units in the 5 countries where the company operated: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay.
As Operations Planning Manager he implemented improvements in management systems and new IT tools for both the farming operations and for the grain logistics and marketing. As for the analysis of new business, he actively participated in the landing of new geographic areas, farm portfolio adjustments (in owned and rented strategies), new crops and also the introduction of new practices for the company as having own machinery, grain storage facilities or irrigation systems.
He participated intensively in Due Diligence processes and in the communication of Agricultural information to Board members and Shareholders analysts. Before being part of El Tejar, he worked in grain origination and agricultural inputs selling in Cargill and as a farm manager in a agricultural company in Argentina.

He is 32 years old; he is an Agricultural Engineer, Master in AgriBusiness in UCEMA and a MBA in IAE Business School. He is now a partner in Fertilem where he co-administrates the agricultural operations in Argentina and the consultancy services in Uruguay and Bolivia. Also he is partner in Colombia Business where he leads the agricultural operations of a farm (800 agricultural hectares).
He also developed consultancy services in industrial and commercial Processes for an agribusiness specialty crops company in Argentina. He is married with a child and also located in Buenos Aires – Argentina.
